After nearly 40 years of a mostly rewarding business career, I have begun the transition to retirement. As I reflect back on the first days of my career, and what we do now, it has been a phenomenal journey! And the last 3 years have been such a positive experience. Seeing this new company created and develop into a significant business has been truly rewarding, and the journey continues. Prior to joining Wakefield in 2005, I have held a number of senior IT positions with several of Canada's leading organizations. I hold a B. Math degree from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Computer Science and Applied Analysis.
My family continues to be the most important feature in my life. My wife Karen, retired from the TDSB, and I live in Boor West Village. Our daughter Laura will be shortly relocating to Fredericton from Quebec City, with her husband Robbin, and our granddaughter Rachel. This past year, Laura was the acting Principal at St Gabriel-De-Valcartier Public School. Our son Greg is graduating from Queen's University and will be attending University of King's College in Halifax in their Journalism program. My own interests include working on and sailing our C&C 27 boat, wood working, and participating in the Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir, with whom I'll be performing at Carnegie Hall in September!
Business technology at Wakefield is based on - "If it isn't good for the customer - why are we doing it?".
