DAVE FIFIELD
I have recently joined Wakefield Canada as Chief Operating Officer following a 21 year career with BP/Castrol, which took me to the UK and US for several years. For me, this is a homecoming in more ways than one. This is where my career began as part of Castrol back in the 1980s. After having led the technical group in Castrol Canada, I moved into marketing, leading that team for several years, helping to grow the Castrol brand and our business to the #1 brand in Canada. I was fortunate enough to be offered an opportunity in the US Marketing group and eventually lead that team as VP Sales and VP Marketing for Castrol lubricants across North and South America. That experience provided a springboard to a role in the UK as VP Marketing with BP Strategic Accounts based in Sunbury on Thames. It was in this role that I worked across the BP Group developing strategic B2B relationships with many Fortune 500 companies. After many years spent travelling the world, it was time to come home. In early 2007 I retired from BP, relocating my wife Leanne, and three kids, back to our home in Oakville, Ontario. So, as you can see I have come full circle and am now privileged, and excited, to be part of the Wakefield team. The team looks a bit different than in the past, but it's a wonderful blend of seasoned veterans and fresh faces. I have worked with many of the people in the organization over the years, and know firsthand the quality and dedication of the staff. Wakefield is a rare company filled with many talented people who have a real passion for the Castrol brand, and their work. I see a very bright future for Wakefield and am looking forward to being part of the continued success of this organization. It’s great to be home!
